KEY ACTIVITIES
In the role of transport coordinator Inbound, you will work from the European Control Tower in Born as part of a transport team consisting of 8 colleagues. Your responsibilities include:
ø Inbound planning and monitoring: Preparing and coordinating inbound container rail schedules with carrier, closely monitoring planned arrivals, and making immediate adjustments in case of delays or deviations.
ø Solving planning-related problems: Proactively resolving bottlenecks in the planning to ensure efficient execution of transports.
ø Contact with customers and transporters: Maintaining regular contact with customers, transporter, and internal stakeholders to ensure the progress of inbound shipments and manage expectations.
ø Process optimization: Identifying areas for improvement in the inbound planning and actively contributing to the optimization of transport processes.
ø Administrative tasks: Ensuring that all relevant information is correctly recorded in the FIS system and that transport data is accurate, complete, and reliable.
You have strong communication skills and can communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues, customers, and transporters, both over the phone and via email. You have the ability to quickly grasp problems and always work in a solution-oriented, service-focused, and customer-friendly manner. Our ideal candidate has:
ø A minimum of a completed MBO 4 education, preferably in logistics
ø Experience in inbound ocean and rail freight
ø A good command of the German and English language, both written and spoken
ø Experience with Excel
ø Ability to work independently
ø High level of accuracy
ø Experience with TMS is a plus
