In the Netherlands, we serve our customer from four locations: Heijen, Venlo, Venray and Schiphol-Rijk, within these locations approximately 1.000 employees are working for use. In addition to classic logistics services such as; warehousing,picking, transport management and comprehensive value-added services, we also offer tailor-made solutions for companies from sectors such as consumer products, high-tech and healthcare. For various customers we take the entire logistics process out of their hands.
Together with your Director, Warehouse Managers and the rest of the Operation teams you are
responsible for the success and growth of this brand new warehouse. As it concerns an new
customer implementation, you can completely redesign the organization together with your
team. How cool is that!?
If that isn’t cool enough.. This new warehouse will run on the latest technology, named AutoStore
and will have a Technical Value Added Service (VAS) department running for our Tech
Customer.
Job inhoud
You will be responsible for the realization of operational services, in accordance with agreed
quality, service and financial objectives. By developing people, processes and automation you
will ensure that targets (financial and customer satisfaction) are met. A great team of Warehouse
Managers and Lean Experts will report directly to you.
Furthermore you are responsible for:
• Total Cost ownership for Warehouse and Operations;
• Ensuring that services are implemented/executed in such a way that they can be realized
efficiently at the required qualitative and quantitative levels;
• Analysis and monitoring of the overall operation and process optimization;
• Coordinate Personnel Matters (HR);
• Coordinating optimal deployment/use of staff and materials and building strategy for the
long-term;
• Implementation of change and improvement processes across the entire operation;
• Responsible for intensive monitoring of KPIs and delivery of the associated management
reports;
• Carrying out policy according to legal regulations and safety standards, such as 5S;
• Leading, developing and delivering performance improvement plans ensuring the
achievement of budgets and overall company performance targets;
• Leading and directing the Operations departments ensuring functional objectives (KPIs)
are achieved;
• Ensuring collaboration between all parties in the entire order-to-cash process and avoid
silo-thinking;
• Driving performance efficiencies and generating cost efficiencies
Job vereisten
• Bachelor or Master degree (in for example: Logistics, Business Administration or
Engineering)
• Extensive demonstrable experience in a contract logistics environment;
• Experience in an operations environment;
• Knowledge of systems for both the primary and supporting processes (including
Microsoft, ERP);
• Knowledge of and experience with project management methods (e.g. Prince 2);
• Good communication skills, both spoken and written, in English and preferably Dutch;
• Analytical and strategic thinking with good business acumen and the ability to think from
the ‘customers’ perspective;
• Strong financial knowledge covering budget forecasting.
