Background<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sivomatic<\/a> is a Dutch family-owned company and European market leader in premium cat litter<\/strong>. In 2018, the company was acquired by the publicly traded American MTI (Minerals Technologies Inc<\/a>.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Erik de Vries<\/a> (Operations Director at Sivomatic) asked Stroom to recruit a strong group of professionals for management positions. Stroom went the extra mile. We thought along about the future vision of Sivomatic from the role of business partner. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Challenge<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After MTI’s acquisition, Sivomatic ventured into uncharted waters. They lacked the necessary experience with corporate structures to scale their business, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

and there was work to be done. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first step? A captain to set the ship on the right course. That\u2019s why Sivomatic asked Stroom to recruit an Operations Director, and that was Erik. The second step? About five senior managers to support him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the first successful placement, the choice to continue working with Stroom was obvious.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

\u201cThe current employees found it difficult to implement changes on their own. We needed <\/em>both generalists and specialists<\/em><\/strong>.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n

Operations Director Erik Needed a Team<\/h3>\n\n

Transforming a family business into a global player was no easy task for Erik. Candidates for Sivomatic\u2019s senior team had to shape the path to the future, but they, first and foremost, had to fit well within the current company culture.<\/p>\n\n

The new seniors are taking charge of Sales, Production, Customer Service, and HR. They guide the team as the company scales up and know how to run a successful Supply Chain company\u2014handy and essential know-how for Sivomatic. \u2014handy and essential know-how<\/em> for Sivomatic.<\/p>\n\n

Erik values personal contact and people skills<\/strong>. Stroom recently brought him on board, so he knew how well they understood human psychology. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From a few simple conversations, we knew exactly who would be a good fit<\/em> for Sivomatic. Thus, we began our search with precision and purpose <\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

The question was straightforward: what do Erik and Sivomatic need to grow? Stroom immediately got to work. Within three weeks, the first candidate was already hired. <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m still amazed at the speed.<\/em> Before I knew it, I had a shortlist, salary negotiations, and interview invitations in my inbox.<\/em><\/strong> Within three weeks, three top candidates were ready to go.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n

Eriks had a regular contact at Stroom. This single point of contact<\/em> meant there was no communication noise. There was rapid engagement with all stakeholders. After the interviews, Erik faced a luxury problem: each of the candidates was a perfect match. <\/strong> <\/strong>his confirmed for him that Stroom was the right choice to continue working with. Stroom was more than a recruiter<\/strong> for him.<\/p>\n\n

Then everything accelerated<\/h3>\n\n

Today, all new management positions are filled to grow the company<\/strong>. Accordingly, Stream looks on with satisfaction: they all take initiative and fit perfectly into the team.
