Sivomatic: From recruiter to strategic business partner

Background

Sivomatic is a Dutch family-owned company and European market leader in premium cat litter. In 2018, the company was acquired by the publicly traded American MTI (Minerals Technologies Inc.).

Erik de Vries (Operations Director at Sivomatic) asked Stroom to recruit a strong group of professionals for management positions. Stroom took it a step further, thinking as a business partner about Sivomatic’s future vision.

Challenge

After MTI’s acquisition, Sivomatic ventured into uncharted waters. They lacked the necessary experience with corporate structures to scale their business,

and there was work to be done.

The first step? A captain to set the ship on the right course. That’s why Sivomatic asked Stroom to recruit an Operations Director, and that was Erik. The second step? About five senior managers to support him.
