About the job

  • Manage a team of 10-15 technicians, who are working hard to make sure the automation systems, the building and installations are in perfect state. Addressing technical challenges, optimizing machine & installation performance and embed this in preventive maintenance plans. 

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the technical team to achieve optimal performance, with a focus on safety, quality and efficiency. 

  • Facilitate participation in ongoing training and development programs to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of the team, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making and embedding new technologies. 

  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of maintenance activities, including analysis of maintenance data, to provide feedback for continuous improvement of maintenance procedures and policies. 

  • Act as a key point of contact between the team of technicians, suppliers, internal stakeholders, emphasizing the promotion of a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and performance. 

  • Key responsibilities include managing maintenance contracts, conducting monthly and quarterly reviews with suppliers (supplier vendor rating), and overseeing the budget for maintenance. 

  • Together with the colleagues of Logistics Engineering further develop our technology landscape applied in the building and automation landscape aiming at improving quality, uptime, flow and sustainability. 

Job requirements

  • Bachelor way of thinking with a background in technical knowledge, providing a solid foundation for facilitating technical problem-solving in order to have an as high an uptime of our equipment. 

  • Strong management skills, with a preference for experience in leading technical teams in warehouse management/production systems (Autostore, shuttles, printers, conveyers, etc. ) 

  • Proficiency in Dutch and English, enabling clear communication both verbally and in writing, particularly in providing guidance and direction to team members and suppliers. 

  • Ability to empower and motivate team members, fostering a collaborative and problem-solving-oriented work environment. 

  • You have strong analytical skills that help you explore logistics – engineering – automation solutions;
